Wade's Birthday Weekend Recap

Posted by Picasa

We had a wonderful weekend down at St. George Island. The weather cooperated beautifully, but the fishing left much to be desired. I think we only came home with 8 keepers. We did, however, hook EVERY. SINGLE. STINKIN'. catfish is the entire Gulf of Mexico, as well as the Apalachicola Bay. We relaxed, fished, walked, ate, read (me, definitely NOT Wade), took lots of pictures (again, me, not Wade), and relaxed some more. Wade found well over 100 whole sand dollars, more than we've ever seen before. It's too bad we can't pay the bills with them! Our bed was awful so we didn't sleep very well. The peacocks at the "resort" seemed to enjoy being on the roof over our room, and it seems to be mating season for them. Despite all the little "flaws", it was so nice to get away for the weekend and just be together. Overall, I think Wade would consider his birthday weekend a SUCCESS. Until next year...

3 hours was enough...

One of my favorites, John Piper, answers the question of how one man's suffering become the suffering of millions.

He was enough. His glorious sacrifice was enough to cover the sins of the entire world.
My Jesus conquered death and became the curse to reverse the curse. I live because He died for me.

And the best....

is yet to come.
